During the last two years, my family has continually struggled financially, just like a lot of other people. The one area I have to cut back costs is on my makeup. I search for the best deal that I can get. If it is more than $5, I usually just go without. I just can't justify spending a lot on makeup when we are having trouble paying our bills.
The more we struggle, the cheaper I go. I was happy using a foundation for around $5, but even that seemed to be a financial burden. Usually a bottle of liquid foundation lasts me about a month, so I know I'm being really cheap, but that is just the way it is right now.
I was worried at first that I would have an allergic reaction to the N.Y.C. foundation, but fortunately, that hasn't happened. It is fragrance free, so that is probably why I can use it without any problems.
It goes on smoothly and does not form lines around my mouth or my crow's feet. It stays in place all day and does not come off until I wash it off. It is an oil free formula that naturally absorbs any shine. My pores don't feel clogged and it doesn't leave me with a heavy feeling like I'm wearing a mask. The website says that it is perfect for all skin types. I know it works with my skin type.
I apply it with just my finger tips and it really doesn't take much to cover my face. The website suggests using N.Y.C. Cosmetic Sponges 977, which are latex free and gives an even application. But since I'm on such a tight makeup budget, my finger tips are free and work just fine.
Wal-Mart is where I found the foundation for only $2.95. On line it shows a price of $2.99. I don't think a four cent difference is much, but at least you can save a little by buying it at Wal-Mart. I have not seen it at any dollar stores yet, but I will be looking to see if I can get it any cheaper.
I know that cheap foundation does not appeal to every woman. But if you have financial worries like I do, then cheap is exactly what you're looking for. I should probably use the word affordable and not cheap. The product is not of cheap quality. It is just as good as other foundations that I've used that cost more. It is just available for much less and I have no problem with using it. It is much better than going without foundation!

Post a CommentMy favorite makeup! Better than some Maybelline, Neutrogena, CG, and Revlon foundations. Why pay more?
I think this is amazing! I got it for like a dollar or 2 maybe closer to 3 lol I don't remember. But it seriously absorbs the shine, at least for a little bit. which is surprising because when u have oily skin u should use powders and i have EXTREMELY oily skin. but i love it, not too great of coverage but blends very easily (maybe thats why it blends easily, lol)
The name sounds elegant, too!
