A Review of the Oceanview Motel in Wildwood, New Jersey - A Lot of Family Activities, but the Rooms Are Dirty

Arthur Kirk
When a family reserves a room at Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey they will find a lot of activities to keep them out of their hotel room. That is good news, considering the rooms themselves are the low point of the motel. The Oceanview Motel is located at 7201 Ocean Avenue in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and has a great children's program. This is something many parents would love to find when they go to the beach on vacation. Unfortunately parents will also discover something they don't want to find at Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. The rooms honestly are not well maintained and nowhere near what you would expect from a Wildwood Crest, New Jersey hotel. Hotels in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey have a reputation of being nicer and cleaner than their competitors in nearby Wildwood and North Wildwood.

For parents with children though, the children's activities might be almost enough to have them overlook the small and dirty rooms. There is plenty of activities for children to do while staying at the Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. Many of these activities include teaming up with one of their parents in competitions or with another child. These activities run Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 3 in the afternoon just in time for the kids to go back to the room and get ready to go out for the evening. These activities include arts, crafts, water balloon games, swim races, and mini golf. There is even an evening activity which is a pie eating contest at 7 pm on Monday evenings. On other evenings there are family bingo games with prizes.

The rooms themselves are the least attractive of the Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. They include air conditioning and heating, a phone, television, and a refrigerator. The efficiency units include a microwave as well. They tend to be small and not well kept though. In the hotel there is an arcade and gift shop, laundry facilities, and a barbecue area. There is also internet access available in the Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.

It is a good thing that the Oceanview Motel in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey has a great children's program, as it is over a mile from the boardwalk. Once on the boardwalk there is another mile or so until you get into the section with the piers that have the rides and games on the Wildwood, New Jersey boardwalk. There are miniature golf courses and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel though for entertainment.

Rooms at the Oceanview Motel are reasonably priced for Wildwood Crest, New Jersey during peak tourist season. That peak tourist season that attracts guests for the sun, beach, and boardwalk features rates of $150-265 per night at the Oceanview Motel.

I also was a guest from July 3 thur July 5, 2009, and I TOTALLY agree with my daughters comments! Not only were they NOT CLEAN, but the box springs on the beds were OLD, TORN and in very poor condition. In my opinion, for HEALTH reasons, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this Motel! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES.
