Atmosphere and Cleanliness
The atmosphere at Okoboji Grill is relaxing and laid back. The interior is pleasing and clean, and there are TVs in almost every corner so you can keep an eye on the big game-- or what ever is going on at the time. Okoboji mixes the atmosphere of a sports bar with that of an upscale restaurant and the effect is wonderful! You can choose to sit in the dining area or in the bar, which is just as clean and cozy. [I actually prefer the bar seating!]
Service
The service is usually very fast. The servers know the menu, know what gets ordered frequently, and know how to keep up on drinks. Every now and then you get a bad server, but that is going to happen at places like this. The staff are well dressed and generally very polite.
Menu Selection/Food Style
This place has almost everything. You can get a burger and fries, or you can get pasta with shrimp. You can get a steak, or you can get tacos. Okoboji Grill will have something you like, even if it isn't your first choice. The downside to this "Jack-of-all-trades" food style is that they are indeed the master of none. The pasta and burgers are very good, however the steak and pretty much everything else is lacking (mostly because of the price, stay tuned!). The appetizers are very good, as are the drinks. They have a fair selection of alcoholic beverages as well as bar seating.
Quality of Food
The quality of the food here is above average. Everything is good, and you won't be disappointed. You will get a good meal, however it is far from five-star. The portions are large, and all of the food is tasty.
Cost
The cost is the great part of Okoboji Grill. You get everything mentioned above for no more than $11.00 a plate. Easily one of the best deals around in terms of cost vs. (portion&quality). For two people the bill is always below $40.00 and a group of ten can eat for less than $150.00. Great for a casual meal out!
Overall
This place is very good. Manageable cost alongside good food and service, you can't go wrong! Great for large group outings or a small pick me up with that special someone mid-week.
