Review of Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti Aging Cleanser- Refreshing Citrus Scrub
Over the past few years, when it came to facial cleansers and scrubs, I never had a particular favorite that I would buy over and over again. I like switching my facial care regime up, and I had always hoped to find one I liked best, but that never happened; until recently.
About a month ago I picked up a tube of Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti Aging Cleanser- Refreshing Citrus Scrub, for around $6.00 at my local Target. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. I just wanted a cleanser that washed my face of all traces of dirt, and makeup.
Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti Aging Cleanser- Refreshing Citrus Scrub not only did that but it also improved my skin overall. It took about 2 weeks to really notice a difference, but the very first difference I noticed was that my skin was no longer oily and shiny at my forehead and nose, which was an issue I had dealt with for years by consistently blotting or powdering my problem areas.
The Scrub:
Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti Aging Cleanser- Refreshing Citrus Scrub is definitely refreshing, but it does not have that powerful citrus zing that other citrus morning scrubs have provided. I however am fine with that, as it works better that those other brands. The other brands may smell better, but they certainly do not work nearly as half as good as Olay's brand.
The scrub itself is not harsh at all, but it does have small micro-flecks of abrasive flecks that help really get your skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed. These abrasive flecks however did not irritate my skin at all.
The Results:
As stated earlier, my skin is no longer oily, I do not wake up to random breakouts anymore, and my skin just looks and feels healthier.
As far as providing signs of anti-aging. I cannot say for sure, my small fine lines near the corners of my eyes are still present with no signs of fading since I began using this scrub. Regardless though, I am just super pleased with the fact that my shiny oily skin issue is no longer an issue, and this was a problem I have had to deal with for years.
