Review: Online Episode Player - Lifetime

Judith Blakley
Honestly, I would not have guessed that Lifetime Television had an online episode player. It was in the back of my mind to check because I'd been hearing about that new show where they are challenging psychics and I wanted to see what it was all about. How surprising that Lifetime not only has an online episode player, but that show is one that's available. Guess what I'm doing for the rest of the night? Ha ha!

Shows Currently Available:

Side Order of Life
Blood Ties
America's Psychic Challenge
Lisa Williams
Gay, Straight or Taken?
Lovespring International
Spotlight 25

How to Use The Episode Player:

1. The Episode Player's web address is: http://videos.lifetimetv.com/

2. The player is on the left side of the page with an advertisement on the right half. To choose what to watch, look under the player for the listing.

3. Click "Full Episodes" and the available shows will appear below.

4. When you choose the show, the episodes will appear to the right of that list. They will be in parts, with the most recent episode first.

5. Choose the part one of the episode you wish to watch and all parts of the episode will play one after the other.

My Experience Using This Episode Player:

Initially, the player kept pausing during play as if it were trying to catch up on it's feed. My computer is a couple years old and I'm using DSL, and since this player offered the ability to switch bandwidth, I did and that fixed my problem. I'm now happily watching this very interesting show and will have something to add to the conversations around me.

Writer's Strike Note: When you watch a television show online, download a podcast or buy a season on DVD - the writers get no residual income. The actors, producers and network make money, but the people who wrote the words the actors spoke get nothing.
