Review: Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries
Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries Offer Seasoning & Skins
Preparation
Making Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries is easy.
They can be cooked in a conventional oven set at 450 degrees. Simply place the French fries in a single layer onto a baking sheet and then cook the French fries for about 15 to 20 minutes. Be sure you cook your French fries long enough because if any of the French fries are stacked on each other while cooking, you'll find that not all the French fries will cook up properly in the time frame given here. Be sure that all the French Fries are golden to golden brown in color before serving them. Nothing is worse than biting into a stiff, cold French fry!
Flavor
Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries offer a nice flavor that I can't find in other frozen French fries. In fact, these Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries remind me very much of the lightly salty, somewhat peppery and perhaps garlicky flavored French fries commonly served at some mid-level restaurants like Chili's, Friday's, and Bennigan's.
The thick-cut style of French fry found with this Ore-Ida offering brings a lot of flavor and texture in a single fry.
Also, the broader surface on this Ore-Ida French fry allows for easier dipping in a sauces and condiments. Another plus (for me) with these Ore-Ida Country Style French Fries is that they aren't very greasy or floppy. Though some people enjoy greasy, floppy French fries, I don't! I like a thick, somewhat-dry French fry that stands up to dipping and dunking and won't leave me with a lap full of ketchup - because, as I have learned from personal experience, many French fries simply can't take the weight of ketchup without flopping around.
