I love french fries and when I came across a box of Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Golden Crinkles Microwave Easy Fries in the frozen foods section of my local Dollar Tree store, I was delighted! I decided to purchase these, try them and write a product review all about my experience with them. Here is what I discovered!
Microwave french fries? No way! Way. I bought one box of Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Golden Crinkles Microwave Easy Fries for only one dollar. I loved that very food budget friendly low price. Each box has two servings in it. Speaking of the box, you can't miss this one. It is bright yellow and red. I love many Ore-Ida food products and I could not wait to taste these fries. They are low in cholesterol and saturated fat. That amazed me.
These easy fries are perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I prepared them. The bottom of box opens up easily and I tore the flap off, arranged the fries singly in the tray, covered with the flap, silver side down and cooked on high for four minutes. It is very important that the crisping tray is touching the fries. This is actually a daunting task, since the flap is light and there is not much weight to weigh it down with. I did the best that I could. These looked great and smelled fantastic. When I tasted them, I loved them. They are very good. Lots of long crinkled golden brown fries. Yum. Kids will love these, and most adults will, too. While I got some crispy fries and some were not, that was cool. I actually like these fries a bit tender. They have a fresh potato taste and that impressed me. These are darn good for microwave fries, I must admit. A relative of mine tried these with me and she also loved them.
I rate Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Golden Crinkles Microwave Easy Fries four and one half stars out of five stars. I could tolerate the not too crispy factor. I will be buying these again. They are the best microwave fries I have tried so far. One serving has 180 calories. 70 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 8 grams of total fat, only 1.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0 mg's of cholesterol, yay, 400 mg's of sodium, 450 mg's of potassium, 25 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, less than 1 gram of sugars and 2 grams of protein. This product does contain soybeans.
I loved trying these fries and writing a product review about them. They are fun, affordable and so tasty. They are also ready in a jiffy and make a good snack or side dish. You can tell that Ore-Ida made these. They have that real potato fresh taste. This product is a winner! I recommend these to crinkle french fry lovers.
