Review of Oscar Mayer Deli Creations Hot Sandwich Melts

Mary Lynn
I have come across a scrumptious food item that would be great for a lunch idea, Oscar Mayer Deli Creations Hot Sandwich Melts. It is an quick and simple choice if you need something to be portable, all you need is a microwave. If you work away from home you know how hard it is to find something that actually taste as good as it looks in the photo on the package, a lot of those portable meals have a bland cardboard taste to them. Most offices now have a microwave in the break room areas. All you have to do is do a quick assembly and heat it for 60 seconds and then out comes lunch. There are 5 different varieties to chose from that offer great taste.

Deli Shaved Steakhouse Cheddar is just like eating a cheesy roast beef sandwich. It is my favorite of all of the flavors. It comes with a sub roll that is made my Sara Lee and plenty of meat for your sandwich. It also has a package of steak sauce and a slice of sharp cheddar to melt for more goodness. This has 450 calories for the calorie counters.

Shaved Honey Ham and Swiss is a good choice for the ham lovers. It comes with a sub roll and plenty of honey ham. It comes with a slice of swiss cheese and condiments so you can make your own sandwich. If you have the time you can add some lettuce to give it some more texture. For the calorie counters this has 440 calories.

Oven Roasted Ham and cheddar is good for the cheddar lovers. It comes with a sub roll and Virgina ham. It comes with sharp cheddar cheese and other condiments. If you want to make your own variation with the kit you can add lettuce or tomato on this for a heartier sandwich.

Shaved Turkey and Dijon is a perfect choice for turkey lovers. It comes with smoked turkey and sharp cheddar cheese. If you want to make your own variation you can add lettuce or tomato for more heartiness.

Shaved Turkey Monterrey is a good choice if you like Monterrey Jack Cheese. It comes with a slice of cheese and plenty of smoked turkey. It comes with other condiments and you can add lettuce or tomato to add your own touch.

No matter which variation you try you will be pleased at the ease it takes to prepare it and the transportability the Deli Creations Hot Sandwich Melts are. I enjoy them and hope you do to.

Just discovered these sandwiches and i have to admit they are delicious with a side of chips and soda. The only down side is the high sodium count other than that they are a tasty treat nonetheless

You didn't really explain the taste/texture of the food.

I found it to be decent but definitely not worth the normal $3.50 I've heard some people quote it for. I got tried two different kinds for $2 a piece. The flatbread one with the chicken is pretty good but the picture makes it look 1/2 to twice as big as what you actually get. I'm not doing a review so I can be brief and just say it's a waste of money.

they are pretty good but check the sodium before you eat them frequently

have tried it this weekend, but sorry but this is a sandwich you can make in less than 5 min. with better quality, fewer chemicals and quality cheese and meat. go get a half lb. roast beef, some good sliced cheese and some fresh sliced bread or rolls
and make it in the morning.the only thing that makes buying worth it, is the microwave tray so the bread does not get soggy, but you buy it once and use it over again if you have to have it hot. other than that this is like buying a machine that drops a tea bag in your cup for you.don't get me started on the impact on the envirorment with all that packageing.
buy quality food, do it yourself and not only save money but its a better choice heath- wise.

I love these sandwiches too. I actually just had one for lunch. But, I don't like my hot so I just warm the roll for 15 seconds and then add my toppings. They are so good.
