I recently was on a video shoot in Downtown Lawrenceville and decided to stop off for lunch after my session. I actually parked in the Square and just walked around to see what struck my interest. I came across this quaint little spot called the Oyster Bay and was instantly intrigued. I am a seafood lover and I thought on this very lovely Spring day that seafood would be a nice change from the typicall sandwich lunch.
As I walked up to the Oyster Bay, I thought how lovely! I felt as though I had just left the Boardwalk and stepped into an authentic Seafood restaurant. The wait staff is very friendly and inviting. When you first walk into the Oyster Bay, there are two things you'll notice right away; one, they have FREE WI FI and the other they have FRESH seafood. I thought to myself, what a GREAT combination for all those writers out there.
I looked over the menu and noticed that they had so many wonderful things that it was hard to choose from, so I went for the Fish Tacos and She-crab soup with salad. Now, for those of you who have never tried Fish Taco's, you have to do so immediately. The fish element is typically a tilapia or mahi-mahi fish that is blackened or Cajun. I choose the blackened and it was so flavorful. The She-crab soup was always a winner. There were lots of crab and fresh veggies in the cream based soup. It was Perfecttion!
Some of the other menu favorites include: Key West Conch fritters that are spicy and served with remoulade sauce. Perhaps you are an Oyster fan then you can have it on the Half Shell, Baked or Fried. My two favorites would have to be the Half Shell and Fried. Mmmm GOOD! The prices range from $5.00 to $12.00 for lunch and $7.00 to $30.00 for dinner.
The Bottom line: Fresh Seafood, Excellent location and great for the entire family. Visit them today at 125 Crogen Street, SE, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 or give them a call to plan your next birthday party or family gathering at 770-910-7521.
