The Pallet is located a couple of blocks above the downtown Phoenix area. The funny thing about this restaurant is that it is located right smack in the middle of a neighborhood so you could easily pass it by! The restaurant is in a bungalow style home and so it fits right in with the neighborhood. There is a great big iron gate with greenery growing up all around it, so it looks very unsuspecting.
When you enter the gate you get a better picture of what is really going on. There are about a dozen fancy or creative patio settings in the front and backyard for guests to eat at after they order their food. What was so amazing to me about the landscape was the fact that there were so many flowers, bushes and little trees just flourishing up every where. It was like an overgrown garden that you would see in an enchanted place.
The inside of this house is really neat. Every room is set up with country style furniture for people to dine at. There are pictures of the locals and their families there. I noticed that a lot families come here to eat for breakfast.
There is one room in the house that is like a gift shop. You can buy handmade soaps and beauty kits. There are books on various topics and jams to buy. I would have to say that this is one of most eclectic shops I have seen in a while.
Then you come to the hallway and the kitchen is built into the hallway. In fact the menu is painted on a glass door that is mounted on the wall! You line up in the hallway and when it is your turn you can order your meal. The meals are French American style. They have a lot of healthy options and you are able to order all your fruit choices organic.
I chose to sit outside with my friend and the waiters come outside and give you your food. The atmosphere was gorgeous outside and it was a really beautiful day overall. The only that I was not too fond of was the fact the misters they all over the properties were a little bit intense.
The misters were the only thing that I could complain about. They almost seemed like they were drizzling more than they were misting. Other than that I had an awesome experience here and it makes me want to come here every time I visit the Phoenix.
