Review: Parliament House Orlando Florida

The Parliament House Bar and Entertainment Complex (www.parliamenthouse.com) is located at 410 North Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando; their number is 407-425-7571. The complex is a variety of bars, restaurants and a 130 room hotel.

We heard some of our gay and lesbians friends talking and they were bragging about this place called the Parliament House, so we thought we had to check it out. On a whim one weekend we hopped in the car and drove down to Orlando. At first I was surprised at the Parliament House, it looked like any other place, but then I got a closer look and was more so impressed.

The Parliament House has a Disco Bar, a Western Bar, a Piano Bar, and a Pool bar. So that was impressive that we had all those choices right there to go out to and besides, having a hotel right on the property meant if we drank to much, we'd have a place to crash for the night. Please know, this establishment is not for kids or anyone under 21, after all they do serve alcohol. They also have WI-FI for those who can't leave their computers at home for a fun night out.

Some of the areas in the Parliament House were a bit cheesy, but for the most part the place was very pleasant. There is no doorman to not let you in, that's a plus in my book, all the different bars have a theme night, there are nightly drink specials, and be sure to get to know the bartender's because once you become a regular they will be sure and take great care of you.

We got hungry so we decided to try the Rainbow Restaurant which is right on the property. Check out their gumbo, it was fantastic. Coming from me that says a lot because my friends say I'm the worst critic when it comes to food since I am a chef. Service in the restaurant was great as well. The restaurant is open till 3am on the weekends as an added convenience.

If you get the chance, check out the female impersonators. The Parliament House has a different impersonator every week for your entertainment. For me that was awesome since I'm blown away by men who can get away with being a woman.

Besides over looking beautiful Rock Lake, I would have to give the Parliament House high praise for making my evening. Not many places do that.
