Review: Peanut Butter & Companies White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter
I love white chocolate and I love peanut butter so I was intrigued by the thought of them together. I had a gift certificate for Amazon.com so I splurged assuming it was good because I ended up getting a 6 pack, as it was all they sold. They came out to about $3.80 a jar, for 16 ounces.
Thank goodness my assumption was right because that many if it didn't taste good would have been disastrous. Though, I soon discovered, after I tasted it, that many might be dangerous. It is sweet, but not too sweet. It is very smooth and very creamy and taste like a smooth creamy Nutter Butter, Peanut Butter creme cookie type flavor. The added cocoa butter (white chocolate) gives it a nice smooth mouth feel. All around just dangerously good.
Peanut Butter & Companies White Chocolate Wonderful it somewhat technically natural, as it states natural on the jar, but it has more than just peanuts. It contains peanuts, evaporated cane juice, vanilla, cocoa butter, palm fruit oil, lecithin and salt. All the ingredients are vegan and the certified vegan stamp is even stamped on the container.
I was worried about the use of palm oil but checked on the Peanut Butter & Company website (www.ilovepeanutbutter.com) before my purchase and found that the source their palm oil from sustainable sources. After discovering they were aware palm oil destroying the rainforest and that they were making sure they were not a part of it, I went back to purchase some.
It is smooth and easily spreadable, that is if you don't keep it in the refrigerator like I do. It firms up just a little bit in the fridge. You don't have to store it there, I just do out of force of habit I guess from being a natural peanut butter buyer.
I will continue to buy my all natural, nothing but peanuts, peanut butter but I will add White Chocolate Wonderful as an occasional buy. If you want a change from your everyday peanut butter treat yourself with White Chocolate Wonderful Peanut Butter by Peanut Butter & Company.
