Review of Philosophy Cinnamon Hot Dots Body Wash, Bubble Bath and Shampoo

Kelly Morris
I love bubble bath and usually take one (sometimes more than one) every day. My newest favorite bubble bath is Philosophy Cinnamon Hot Dots Body Wash, Bubble Bath and Shampoo.

You see body wash that doubles as bubble bath all the time, but a product that serves as shampoo, as well? I admit, I was skeptical about that part. I decided to try it, though, because I love the scent of cinnamon and that seemed such a unique fragrances for a bubble bath.

Well, I am glad I tried it! The liquid is a gorgeous dark red that turns into normal-colored bubbles when poured under warn running bath water. The smell is sweet and spicy, somewhat reminiscent of Big Red chewing gum, only it seems luxurious in a bubble bath (not so much in a chewing gum). The aroma fills the entire bathroom and it's warm sort of smell, though the bubble bath/bath gel/shampoo is not warm to the touch.

As far as using it as a shampoo, I gave it a try. I typically use Suave shampoo because I'm frugal. This worked just as well on my hair, which is neither very oily nor very dry, and left my hair smelling delicious for the entire night. Actually, my skin retained the scent for several hours, as well. The only downside was that I did not have any matching conditioner, but I don't condition my hair every single time I wash it anyway.

I bought a 16 ounce bottle from Amazon.com for just $16, and just a little makes a ton of long-lasting bubbles. It doesn't take much to wash my hair, either, and my hair is fairly long; it comes halfway down my back. I only needed a blob about the size of a silver dollar to wash my hair, and it rinsed out easily and left my hair clean and untangled.

I've not seen this brand of bubble bath in stores but it's affordable on Amazon.com if you don't mind ordering online and it's eligible for Amazon's free shipping deal if you buy something else along with it. I think you can buy it in a smaller size if you like but it ends up costing more per ounce that way.
