Review: Philosophy the Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas Foundation
Philosophy's the Supernatural If You Want Mineral Makeup with More Coverage
Unlike most powder foundations, Philosophy's version doesn't come with a brush or separate applicator at all. In comes in the form of a small bottle of the foundation topped off with a sponge applicator that stays attached to the bottle. The sponge is removable for easy washing or you can buy extra replacement sponges from Philosophy. There's even a handy little mirror on top of the lid for touch-ups.
You apply the foundation by tapping the bottle on your skin a couple times then buffing it over your face. The Supernatural comes in a variety of colors from porcelain to extra-rich. I chose the color natural and it matched better than any mineral foundation I've ever tried. The foundation went on very smoothly and the coverage was better than I expected. I can layer it for even more coverage on blemishes or dark spots, and it never feels heavy. This is the first product I've ever used that gave my face a satin finish without having to use multi-step techniques to achieve.
One thing that tends to disappoint me with most foundations is their habit of disappearing from my face by evening. No matter how light I put Philosophy's product on, it stayed with me. It never creased or caked and it has an SPF 15 for sun protection. Philosophy gets huge thumbs up on their Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas.
