I love many Planters name brand snacks, so when I came across a bag of Planters Fruit & Nut Trail Mix in the nuts section of my local favorite grocery store, I was delighted. This snack looked good! I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
I bought one bag of Planters Fruit & Nut Trail Mix for around three dollars. Each bag has six servings in it. The price is affordable. It is hard to miss this bag. It is blue, aqua and tan, with the Mr. Peanut character on the top of it. Little black top hat and all. This bag has a see through window in it, so you can see this snack. It is also recloseable. I liked that. It helps keep this treat fresh and makes it very portable. This trail mix has peanuts, banana chips, raisins, cashews, papaya, pineapple and cranberries in it. That is quite a creative combination. I could not wait to try this snack!
I discovered that this trail mix is low in sodium. It also has no high fructose corn syrup in it, which is fantastic. This snack also uses sea salt. Very smart. It is low in cholesterol. It has copper and manganese in it. Very interesting. When I tasted this trail mix, I liked it. The cashews, banana chips, pineapple and cranberries were my favorite pieces. I could have done without the papaya. I never liked it much and some kids feel the same way. The peanuts are fresh tasting and the raisins are plump and juicy. Overall, this trial mix is a winner and fun to eat. It has great variety and I liked that fact. I rate Planters Fruit & Nut Trail Mix four stars out of five stars. I probably will be buying this one again. It is adventurous and exciting to eat. One of my relatives really likes this snack and I agree. It is a good one.
One serving of this trail mix has 140 calories. 80 of those calories are from fat. Whew. Must be why it tastes so good. One serving has 9 grams of total fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 2 grams of polyunsaturated fat, 3.5 grams of monounsaturated fat, 0 mg's of cholesterol, yay, just 15 mg's of sodium, 200 mg's of potassium, 14 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 10 grams of sugars and 4 grams of protein. This product does contain peanuts, cashews and sulfites. It is manufactured on equipment that process tree nuts. This is a Kraft foods snack.
I enjoyed trying Planters Fruit & Nut Trail Mix and writing this product review about it. It is a smart way to snack and it is yummy. The Planters folks are well known for their tasty nuts and they are the nut experts, for sure. This is a great snack and it goes really quickly around my house.
