Price
I do not usually buy flavored water, as I prefer the taste of plain, filtered water. But when I noticed Pomegranate Acai Blueberry Nutrient Infused Water by Emerge™, my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to buy a bottle. It cost just $0.60 for the 591ml (20fl oz) bottle of water. What I liked was the fact that this water contained zero calories and that it also contained antioxidants.
Taste
When I first tried Pomegranate Acai Blueberry Nutrient Infused Water by Emerge™ I found the drink quite sweet. It was not easy to detect the pomegranate, acai and blueberry. It was a mixture of different flavors that I would not have been able to identify had I not known in advance what I was drinking. Sweet tasting drinks do not normally entice me, but I knew that this drink had zero sugar, so I felt better about drinking it, even though it contained too much sweetener for my taste.
Nutrition
Each 240ml (8fl oz) serving size contained zero calories, as well as zero sodium, carbohydrate, sugar and protein. But what did this drink contain? As I scanned the bottle's nutrition content, I could see that each serving contained 10% Vitamin A, 70% Vitamin C, 10% Vitamin E, 25% Niacin, 10% Vitamin B12, and 25% Pantothenic Acid.
Although this brand of flavoured water contained a good proportion of some essential vitamins, I did not feel particularly refreshed after drinking it. It would not be my first choice of drink to choose during a hot summer's day. The product details said that Pomegranate Acai Blueberry Nutrient Infused Water by Emerge™ contain "powerful antioxidants which help defend your cells against damage". Whether this claim is true or not, I cannot say for sure. But what I can say is that I do not plan on buying this drink again. I would not recommend Pomegranate Acai Blueberry Nutrient Infused Water by Emerge™. The name sounds exciting, but the taste does not live up to the name. I would suggest sticking with plain, filtered water to help provide your body with some of the nourishment it requires to function properly.
