Review: Pottery Barn Kids Oversized Chairs

My two little boys are toddlers now, and they both love to look through books, watch cartoons and snuggle up with their blankets and lovies on the sofa. We decided to get them child-sized chairs of their own and when researching options, I simply fell in love with the Pottery Barn Kids Over-Sized Chairs.

I placed my order for two chairs online and when they arrived, I was shocked at how huge the boxes were. I was expecting little chairs for little babies! They are gigantic! We unpacked them both and read through the instructions. As we began to assemble the chairs, I was glad that we did read the directions so thoroughly as the four foam pieces only go together one way to complete the chair.

When we finished putting them together, I was again shocked at the size of them. Our playroom is large and they really fit in there nicely. An adult can actually sit in the chair quite comfortably; the only issue being that it is low to the ground, which is perfect for small children.

We purchased red chair covers and had them each personalized with our boy's names and I am so glad that we spent the extra money to do so. They love having their own special chairs, there is no arguing over whose chair belongs to whom, and the stitching of the letters is absolutely beautiful.

The entire back of the chair cover is one large pocket that can be used to stores books, small toys and stuffed animals. They are extremely deep and wide and hold a surprising amount of stuff! There are also handles located at the top of the chair covers, making them quite easy to relocate around the room.

The covers wash incredibly well. I've washed them each a few times and by simply following the instructions I've had a great deal of success in keeping the chairs looking as good as they day we got them. If for any reason you need to replace the cover, you can imply order another one from Pottery Barn Kids and still use the same foam inserts. This also is an excellent option if you are redecorating, having the option of replacing the cover to coordinate with new furnishes lengthens the life of the chairs.

My boys use their Pottery Barn Kids Over-sized chairs several times through the day. They are perfect for sitting in when watching a movie, listening to a story or having a snack. They are large though, if the room you intend to keep it in is small, you will notice the space it takes up. Otherwise, they are perfect and I would recommend that every toddler have one of their own!
