PriceRite is owned by ShopRite Markets. They can be found all over the East Coast. Their produce was priced very well (though not cheaper than our discount produce market). They had huge variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
We were really impressed with their meat prices. I got some great deals on Perdue fresh turkey burgers & lean ground beef. Dad got a huge package of pork chops for $2.99. They sold interesting items like huge pork shoulders and racks of ribs.
PriceRite didn't carry a huge selection, but most of their products were brand name products. Items were simply stacked on crates & in boxes, no fancy displays. When you checkout you either buy a bag for .10 cents or bring your own. You also bag your own groceries.
They don't accept coupons and they don't have sales per say. They have normal low prices for products which I really like.
I got a big bag of Borden shredded mozzarella cheese for $1.49 a bag. Minute Maid orange juice was $1.99. Hormel bacon was $1.99 a package. My dad found some huge cans of Cento tomatoes for .89 cents a can. I got some Francesco Rinadali pasta sauce for .89 cents a jar & lasagna noodles for .99 cents.
There were so many big brands at low prices to be found. They had a big frozen food section as well with products you'd see at the normal supermarket. They had one or two big brands for each type of product. You would see more variety at a regular market, but you don't come here for variety - you come here to save money!
Overall, I really liked Price Rite. You probably couldn't do a whole order there, but you could do most of it. I spent just under $20.00 there for our food order. I really liked that the store had discounted prices on name brand stuff that I know is good. I'll use what I got to make lasagna & we'll have fresh turkey burger patties for dinner tonight.
Here is the Price Rite Website to see if you have one in your area. I'll check out Aldi next week & report back.

Post a CommentIt's a good store, my mother shops there once away for her groceries, much cheaper then other groceries stores in the area, thankfully there's one two towns over from my area. It's a good store to shop at.
