These new "Sammies" are sandwiches made on small pieces of flatbread, like the same kind of bread they put in their flatbread salads. The Sammies come in 4 varieties. They are Sonoma Turkey, Bistro Steak Melt, Alpine Chicken, and Italiano. The Sonoma Turkey has turkey, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo on it. The Bistro Steak Melt has thins slices of Black Angus steak, mozzarella, and mild peppercorn sauce. The Alpine Chicken has chicken, bacon, swiss cheese and ranch dressing on it. Lastly, the Italiano has Genoa salami pepperoni, Capitola, mozzarella cheese and basil pesto.
The flatbread that the sandwiches come on is about the size of your hand if you have your hand opened. Quiznos already has the sandwiches pretty much pre-made when you get there with most of the toppings already on them. They just take them out of a container, sprinkle some of their special seasoning on them and put it through the oven. When it's done going through the oven, the employees put a mixture of tomatoes and lettuces (almost like what you'd put on bruschetta bread) on the sandwich and fold it up and put it into a little paper bag. One sandwich isn't quite filling enough for a meal, so you might want to pick up two of them. Currently they offer a value meal with 2 Sammies, a drink, and chips for $5.99. You can pick 2 different Sammies to have in your meal if you want.
When I tried the Sammies, I also got the value meal. I tried the Sonoma Turkey and Alpine Chicken. They were both very tasty. I liked the Sonoma Turkey better though. The chipotle mayo added just the right amount of zest to the sandwich. The chicken on the Alpine Chicken didn't have the kinda grilled taste that I was looking for.
The nutritional information for these sandwiches may make you think twice about choosing them if you are trying to follow a low calories or low fat diet. The Sonoma Turkey contains 18 grams of fat and 300 calories. The Bistro Steak Melt contains 17 grams of fat and 320 calories. The Alpine Chicken has 16 grams of fat and 310 calories. The Italiano has 18.5 grams of fat and 325 calories. These number can be reduced significantly if you do not get the cheese or dressing on the Sammies.
In conclusion, I think the Sammies are an excellent addition to the rest of the menu items available at Quiznos. They are a perfect size if you're not that hungry, or if you are hungrier, you can eat 2, 3 or more of them.

I definately like quizno's better than subway.
I love Quiznos, I have not tried these yet, I am sure they are yummy.
Nice to know you can get more than 1 - as a snack or as a meal depending on how hungry you are! Sometimes you just can't decide on a whole sandwich and are torn. This lets you have the best of both worlds!
