The restaurant features modern décor with booths and tables inside and outdoor seating at comfortable umbrella tables. There is a long sushi bar at one end of the dining room and on the other side of the room is a large bar. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice, I especially like the dark lighting and the music which consists of an interesting mix of songs that I haven't heard in awhile. I have to mention that I love the blue and black Asian style plates that the food is served on--they are so pretty, I wish I had them in my own house. The service is also top-notch. The servers are attentive and fast--the food gets to the table just minutes after you place your order.
Happy hour is the best time to visit RA. Monday through Friday from 4-7 PM, RA offers appetizers at a discounted price and lots of drink specials. You can literally have a table filled with food and drinks for $30 or less during RA's happy hour.
Over the course of my many visits to RA, I have compiled a list of my favorite menu items:
Pineapple Cheese Wontons- These wontons are so crispy! They're filled with cream cheese and pineapple and come with a pineapple dipping sauce that is delicious!
Dengaku Tofu- This is by far the best tofu I have ever had. The tofu is breaded and then served on a plate with tempura sauce and is drizzled with a miso ginger glaze. This tofu is prepared so well, it will please meat eaters as well as vegetarians.
Lobster Rolls- I will have to take my husband's word on this one since I don't eat meat or fish, but he assures me that this is the best item on the menu at RA. The lobster is succulent and the cream cheese and the mango sauce are a great combination.
Vegetable Tempura- I love tempura, and I was not disappointed with RA's version of it. The vegetables are fried in a delicious tempura batter and served with tempura sauce.
Avocado Rolls- Although I don't eat fish, I still love vegetable rolls and RA's avocado rolls are especially tasty! They're served inside out and the avocado and pickled ginger are exceptionally fresh.
I have never been disappointed at RA. The food is always great and the servers and management are always friendly--it's definitely worth a try if you live in Palm Beach County or are planning to visit.
