Review of Revert Cologne by Rue 21

Eco Friendly Cologne

Dahloan Hembree
For Christmas, my daughter-in-law and son requested that I purchase their new colognes from a store called Rue 21. The name of the cologne is Revert. Recently, I just found out that it is considered to be a green cologne. I've heard of using the term green to describe everything now days, but this is the first time I have heard it associated with a cologne. I proceeded to buy myself a bottle of Revert, so I would know exactly why it was a green cologne.

The cologne's name alone is rather creative. Re of course means to do again. So being a green product, re for recycling fits. Also, revert is a french drevied names

Revert is sold in two separate bottles. Both bottles are see through. They both are decorated with pretty green leaf etching. Revert Eco is the fragrance for girls and Revert is for guys. There are very few colognes or perfumes that are clear, but Revert, by Rue 21 is a clean, cologne. Even before using Revert, this gives you the feeling that it is a purer substance.

Most colognes or perfumes have a heavy scent. I really liked the Revert Cologne by Rue 21, because it smelled lighter than most fragrances, having a fresh combination of musk and apple scent. Most colognes fade after a short period of time, but Revert had staying power, and was still present even six hours later. Now that I knew I liked the cologne, I wanted to find out what exactly makes it eco friendly or allows it to be considered a green cologne. \

First of all, Revert is formulated with fewer harsh chemicals and with more natural ingredients. Their web site states that the cologne is made with a combination of clementines, apple blossoms, peonies, vanilla and musk scents. They claim that what makes their scent eco friendly is the use of only pure oils from these ingredients. In addition, the company claims to use fewer chemicals in the making of Revert.

Also, the boxing that Revert comes in is unique for any fragrance. How many times can you say you bought a frangrance where the box was exo friendly? The tan, box, decorated with green leaves is made of recycled paper.
