Review: Ross Clothing Store

Why Pay Top Price for Top Brands?

Drew Bush
I have been to many major clothing stores. I've shopped at Old Navy, Aeropostale, Target, Abercrombie, and more. Some of these places were just too expensive for me. I just don't see the point in spending $40 or $50 dollars for a shirt. All I want is a shirt that looks good and is made to last. If, however, you can get a name brand piece of clothing for really cheap, there's nothing wrong with getting it. After all, many of the top brands have the best look. Granted, I am not a big shopper and shopping for clothes is my least favorite past time. I'll be honest and admit that some of my clothes are three, four, or even five years old. I keep them because they are comfortable. Still, there are times when I am in the mood to go and look for something new at a bargain price. I have to say that Ross has some great clothes at a really good price.

I went to Ross about a month ago and was impressed with all that they had to offer. There is a huge section for men and women. Not too long after I started browsing through the shirts I found four of them that I really liked and the brand was Calvin Klein. I thought they would be a little pricey. I knew Calvin Klein could run in the $40 to $50 dollar range. I looked at the price tag and was impressed with the prices. Two of them were just $12.99 and the other two were $15.99. Wow! These shirts were listed for $45 to $50. In most cases, the quality of the clothing is really good. Still, you may want to keep an eye out for minor stains or discolorations. The shirts I got were in perfect condition.

It turns out that my mother and sister also got really good deals on their purchases. They each got five or six different articles of clothing (top brand and in great condition) and in the end spent only $50 total for the two of them. I wish I had shopped at Ross sooner.

There is nothing wrong with shopping at discount clothes stores. Maybe there are some people who are very against it and I can't understand why. I have gone to discount clothes stores like Saver's before and found some really great stuff. There is this stigma that if something was worn by somebody else, then it isn't good anymore. That is not true. As long as there are no tears, stains, or discolorations, I will take advantage of getting top brand clothes at a really good price.
