A Great Baby Gate at a Great Price

In my opinion, the Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st is a great product. I really like this gate! Unlike some of the reviews that I have written in the past, it has not been hard to think about the positives of the Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st.

The Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st is being used between the kitchen and living room and my 1 year old likes to look over it at me. Right now she also sometimes wants to bite the top of it, but it has not peeled or cracked. The Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st is so easy to use and it's not cheap or ugly looking.

The design of this gate is pretty contemporary. The Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st features a handle mechanism that is a 3 in 1, lock/release/handle adjustment. The main reason my husband and I picked this gate was for the auto fit feature. We needed that since the doorway the gate is used in has moldings. You can use pressure or hardware mount and it can be used at the top or bottom of stairs, per the description on the Babies R Us website. Since we have it in the doorway between the kitchen and living room we're not using any hardware. It pressure mounts to the wall and is sturdy and safe. The gate handle has a visual indicator to show when the gate is locked, released or in the adjustment mode.

The Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st is made of panels, not bars, wire, etc. This makes it, in my opinion and others, not easy for a little one to climb! Nice feature, wouldn't you say?! The gate is smooth all around and it's also easy to clean, a plus in my eyes. This ads strength to the unit. My twenty pound Shih Tzu is able to lean on it without damaging it, or knocking it down.

I've read some negative reviews on the Safety 1st Perfect Fit Gate by Safety 1st, but they all seem to be by people that are using it for a swing gate and pressure mounting it. I've read that the screws were cheap and that the consumer had to purchase better screws. I'm sure that is frustrating when you expect the product you buy to have quality hardware.
