Review: Scott MacIntyre's 'Just the Way You Are'
Scott MacIntyre Go Home Already!
The judges said it was his strongest performance thus far with him staying on pitch and having a good arrangement however it was still slow and boring. Scott MacIntyre appears to have a very upbeat and happy; however listening to him sing you would never know it. I don't feel that his personality comes through when he sings.
Every week it is the same ol same ol. I actually agreed with Paula when she said a couple of weeks ago that she would like to see him sing without his piano. Scott said that he would surprise us with it. Well I am still waiting! I am also still waiting for him to sing something contemporary. No matter what songs he picks nothing helps. His performances are forgettable and quite frankly when he comes on to sing I would rather turn off my TV before I fall asleep.
I strongly believe he is getting a majority of the sympathy votes from America for his disability. While I do admire him for being able to prevail and go after his dream I do not believe he has what it takes to be the next American Idol. I will be very surprised tomorrow if he is not eliminated and if he is eliminated I will be extremely disappointed if the judges waste the save to keep him because his vocals just aren't there.
He is consistently a non-top performer and if he was to actually win American Idol it would be as bad as when Taylor Hicks won. I don't believe anyone would buy his album unless they needed for elevator music. I will say however that I did like his new hair cut.

Post a CommentI like scott, he seems like a very nice guy. He is by all means very talanted on the piano. Although in all actuality you are right! American Idol is a singing competition and well he is deff not my first choice there. We need another Chris Daughtry or Kelly Clarkson. He is nowhere near their league and Taylor Hicks was a joke. I agree the bashing gets tiresome although seriously I wonder if it was just an attempt to assure America that it really was our vote and that if we tried hard enough we could prove someone with no talant could win. America has voted and yes its real. Now enough with the games we need to get a real Idol to the end. Great Blog!
Totay agree with PauLa about Taylor Hicks. The Hicks bashing has become so tiresome and lame.Get an original thought.
Have you forgotten what a dynamic performer Taylor Hicks was on that show? IMO, he was the best contestant ever and Scott is nothing like him. Taylor is a mover and a stage performer.

I do not think Scott should win but to be eliminated this week. I think there is a diffinately a few others that sounded horrible last night.......I like Scott but I do think that he doesn't posses the vocals as Chris or Adam or Allison. His vocals are more very yesterday sounding but there are a few that sounded more like chalk on a black board..........
