Review of Sea Fresh Gel Toothpaste with Fluoride by Jason Natural Personal Care Products

April Horton
I usually stick with conventional toothpastes as I have tried my fair share of natural tooth pastes and powders with no real satisfaction. Then I discovered Sea Fresh toothpaste by Jason and am a convert. With so many natural toothpastes on the market it's hard to know which one to choose. I have pretty much tried them all too!

I really like Sea Fresh Gel toothpaste with fluoride by Jason Natural Personal Care products. Since it does contain fluoride it is probably not deemed as all natural but I find it a good compromise over conventional toothpaste that contain questionable ingredients. I like to use fluoride as extra protection against cavities but you will have to decide for yourself if the risks of using fluoride outweigh the chance of cavities.

If you didn't know, flouride has come under some controversy in recent years but I find it essential for my own tooth health. You will have to decide for yourself what you do or do not feel comfortable using on and in your body. Be sure to do some research on natural and conventional toothpastes and decide for yourself. It really isn't rocket science but more of a matter of preference.

You can find Jason Natural Personal Care Product line either online or in your local health food store. I bought ours at our local co-op for around $7.

Many natural toothpastes leave me feeling like my teeth are not very clean. This one however leaves the teeth feeling cleaned and I am comfortable using sea sourced personal care products. I use a lot of other Jason products as well and am extremely satisfied with the price and quality. Even my three and four year old children use this toothpaste.

The ingredients in this toothpaste are;

Sodium monofluorophosphate 0.76% (fluoride), vegetable glycerin, spring water, silica, sodium cocoyl glutamate, xylitol, blue green algae, sea salt, parsley extract, coenzyme Q10, calcium carbonate, methylsulfonyl methane (MSM) bamboo powder, organic aloe gel, perilla see extract, sodium magnesium silicate, sodium bicarbonate, cellulose gum, stevia, grapefruit see extract, spearmint leaf oil, peppermint oil and spirulina extract.

I like the minty flavor of this toothpaste and find it is not too overwhelming like some other mainstream brands. it leaves the teeth, gums and breath feeling fresh and clean. It does not taste funky or sea weed like at all.

This toothpaste is a gel form which I usually don't like as a general rule but I do like this one. Tooth health is not something to be skimped on so don't let the price of this toothpaste steer you away. I think it's worth every penny and our whole family has enjoyed using it! I find for our family of four it generally lasts about two months or so.

This toothpaste contains no saccharin, no animal ingredients and is never tested on animals.
