With a good air compressor, you will be able to replace your hand held grinders, ratchets, hammer, impact wrench and many other tools with the air powered variety. Using air tools as opposed to electric versions can be a wiser investment because of the simplicity. You do not have any switches or electric motors to fail as you would with conventional hand held self powered tools.
With regular oiling and maintenance, air tools can outlast any electronic version. You can also quickly change out tools in a snap and as long as you have a good source of compressed air, you can count on the tool to work.
The Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor is a great new entry level air compressor that will satisfy most do it yourself people looking to get into the air tool scene. You won't be able to tackle major projects continuously with this particular compressor but for small projects that you need done quickly, the Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor gets the job done.
The small form factor makes the unit easy to maneuver and the sound emitted from the compressor is much lower than any other comparable brand offered on the market today. The Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor only weighs 20lbs; much lighter than comparable makes as well.
The first project that I had the pleasure of using this compressor involved using my air nail gun to do a little trim work inside my living room. I almost completed the project without the waiting for the compressor to cycle. Them observed fill up time for the Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor is around two minutes.
Larger and more expensive air compressors will give you more power as well as more tool options however, for the price and value, I highly recommend the Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor for light duty applications.
As of this writing, I have not had any issue with the Senco PC1010 1-Horsepower Peak 1-Gallon Compressor. It seems to be built extremely well and I expect to get many years of consistent use out of this model.
