Game Background

Your friend, John Van Deusen, has lost his lucky pick, and you now will try to help him find it.

Gameplay

The objective of the game is to find John Van Deusen's lucky pick. To do so, you must travel around the area, which includes exploring a cave, going up a mountain, and venturing into a jungle. During your traveling, you will encounter a large number of people who also need help with something. Along the way, you will find items that could be used to help someone. In return for helping someone, you will receive another item that could help another person. As you continue to help people by matching items with their needs, you will get closer and closer to your initial goal of finding your friend's lucky pick.

As you collect more and more items, you will most likely forget which ones you have. You can access your inventory to help you remember.

Controls

Use arrow keys to move around.
Press and hold A to access your inventory.
Talking to people is automatic. Giving and receiving items are also automatic.

Game Review

There is not much gameplay involved in Seven's Second Adventure. There are no real challenges except trying to remember who needed what item, and figuring out who needed what could easily be solved by traversing the entire map again. Initially, there isn't much entertainment value in that. However, as you get deeper into the game, you may become curious as to how you will end up findig John Van Deusen's lucky pick, and it is this aspect of the game, as well as other factors, that keeps players playing. Another aspect of the game that is interesting is the different stories that each person has, many of which can be quite humorous. Also, the music is also rather enjoyable. The large pixels also add a nice old-school feel to the game.

Seven's Second Adventure scores a 6/10 for mild enjoyment.
