Review of the Sharper Image Mini Camcorder

I am an AVON representative and we have added the new mini camcorder by Sharper Image to our product line. I ordered one because I wanted an upgrade from our current digital camera. I wouldn't necessarily say the Sharper Image mini camcorder is an upgrade, but it is not too bad for the price.

In our AVON brochure you can purchase the camcorder for only $79.00 with a $20.00 purchase. By itself it retails for $129.00. The camera comes with a lot of features, about 11 to be exact. It has a camcorder, digital camera, photo album, mp3, mp4 video, fm radio, games, calendar, e book, voice recorder and pc web camera. That is a lot!

When I first received the camcorder it was a lot smaller than I expected. I did expect it to be small since it was a mini but not quite that small. It is very light weight which almost makes it appear cheap.

There is no flash on the camera so you will have to make sure you have good lighting when you take pictures. There is also no zoom. Those two missing features are a negative in my opinion. The picture quality is not bad when you have good lighting . I think the camera will make fine 4x6 prints when there is proper lighting.

I am impressed with how many features it does have. The camera comes with a nice carrying bag, a charger, usb cord and ear buds.

If you are looking for a professional type camera or camcorder that will take high quality professional pictures than this mini camcorder/camera may not be right for you. If you just want to be able to take pictures and enjoy the other features than you are looking at the right place.

You could go to your local Wal-mart and find a better quality camera for the same amount of money as you spent on the mini camcorder., but in my opinion this mini camcorder would be a great gift for college students or even high school students. The e book feature, web camera, mp3 and mp4 features are right up a students alley.

This mini camcorder/camera seems to be a perfect fit for the younger generation and maybe not so perfect for the older. You probably won't find another mini camcorder/camera for this price with this many features. All in all I give the mini camcorder/camera from Sharper Image about a 7 out of 10.
