Review of the Shawnee Inn in Logan, Ohio
Nearby you will find the Logan Hocking Visitors Center. While in the Hocking Hills region this is the place to stop for information on the area and activities. The staff at the "Welcome Center" is polite, informative and knowledgeable. They will provide you with history on the Logan and Hocking County area, as well as maps, and brochures. The Welcome Center is a vital part of tourism in the Hocking Hills.
Lake Logan is less than one mile from the Shawnee Inn Motel. At Lake Logan you can enjoy swimming in season, boat rentals, fishing, and bird watching. Lake Logan is a nice sized lake, and very scenic. Lake Logan has a nice beach and a bird sanctuary. The bird sanctuary is lovely and it is a wonderful place to view the swans on the lake.
The Shawnee Inn is nearby Wal-Mart, and a variety of other shops like Dollar Tree, Rent A Center, Fashion Bug, Radio Shack and more. Remplel's Grove is nearby. Remple's Grove is home to an ice cream shop, a mini golf adventure course, an antique mall and other unique shops.
Immediately in the area of the Shawnee Inn you will find a southern style BBQ restaurant as well as a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Giovanni's Pizza, China Buffet, and Bob Evans are nearby. As well as McDonalds, Subway and the Olde Dutch Amish cooking restaurant.
The Shawnee Inn is certainly not a five star hotel, but it is very clean, and nicely cared for. The Shawnee Inn will not disappoint you, unless you are looking for absolute luxury. The Shawnee Inn is affordable and family friendly. The motel is also very quiet, which is nice on its own. It is superior to the other motel Logan offers. The Shawnee Inn does not offer a pool or hot tubs, but the Shawnee Inn does have several waterbed rooms available. The Shawnee Inn features in room telephones, cable, king and queen sized beds, allow pets and has vending machines on site.

Post a CommentI had the great displeasure of staying at this "Roach Motel" a few months ago. We were in town visiting relatives and couldn't get into one of the nicer places in town. Relatives urged us not to stay there and to drive on up to Lancaster or down to Athens. But we thought it will only be 3-4 nights and it will be alright. We left after 1 and went to Lancaster. The weekend was pretty booked all over town and they told my husband I they had one of the waterbed rooms left. We took it and it was much more than 50 dollars a night. The room hadn't been redecorated or painted since the 70's. The whole bed stunk like catfish and leaked it was from the 70's and the mattress was patched with duct tape all over. The bed spread was stiff and moldy (you could see the black mildew all over it) and the room smelled moldy. We called and someone came up and changed the sheets and bedspread it didn't help they left the pillows which had pubic hair and blood on them. The room was filthy the tv
