Review of Simply Divine Cherry Pie by Bath and Body Works

Bath and Body Works is known for having delicious scents and most of us have our favorites that we are loyal to. Every season they release a new line of yummy fragrances to tease the pallet and this fall is no different. This is a review of one of those fall specials, Simply Divine Cherry Pie.

Simply Divine Cherry Pie is in the Temptations line at Bath and Body Works. It is a heavy fragrance that is reminiscent of its namesake. The heady aroma of freshly baked cherry pie is beautifully developed. You actually can taste the warm cherry pie, including crust, when you sniff the bouquet.

Simply Divine Cherry Pie comes in six variations. As in most Temptations, it is available in the 3 in 1 form which is a body wash, shampoo and bubble bath all in one. I was a little hesitant to use what is also a body wash and bubble bath on my hair, but I bit the bullet and gave it a shot. It was a decent shampoo. It lacked ingredients that specifically left my hair silky, but it made up for that with the fragrance. The scent is still detectable the next morning. It did do a good job at general cleaning, but I probably would not replace my regular shampoo with this product. It would make a great travel item since it would provide all in one cleansing, even though the bottle would be a bit bulky.

The body wash aspect is in line with Bath and Body Work's previous standards and the bubble bath provides ample bubbles in the warm scent which is enough to make anyone comfortable, if not a little hungry. Overall, I was pleased with this product.

The line also includes a Crave and Pamper gift set which contains the 3 in 1 Body Wash, Shampoo and Bubble Bath and a sponge or bath poof. The price is only 50 cents higher then the 3 in 1 alone and would serve as a great gift to a lucky woman on your list. The sponge is a matching deep red color.

As in the Bath and Body Works tradition, there is also a body lotion available to enjoy. The lotion provides substantial moisturizing with a good amount of staying power. I was pleased that the bouquet was quite noticeable, and it was even more so when layered with the body wash.

There is also a 2 in 1 lip gloss available. This gloss has one tip that is a tinted red gloss that is flavored like the Simply Divine Cherry Pie. After using that, the instructions say to apply the second tip, which is flavored like another member of the Temptations line, Vanilla Ice Cream. The second tip is clear. This lip gloss is tasty and is hard to keep on your lips since it is tempting to just lick it all off. You are left kissably sweet, though.

The last two members of the Simply Divine Cherry Pie family venture away from the body and enter the home. Bath and Body Works has extended their popular Wallflowers home fragrance line to include the Simply Divine Cherry Pie aroma. They are also offering a home fragrance oil in the scent that coordinates with their oil warmers that are sold separately. Both present opportunities to make your home smell as inviting as if you just baked up a cherry pie with out the muss or fuss.

The only thing that I can see as missing from the line is a body spray. It would be nice to be able to further layer with a spray. It would also be nice to be able to spritz the wonderful aroma throughout the day to freshen and enjoy.

The Simply Divine Cherry Pie scent is a warm and welcome aroma to the already pleasant Bath and Body Works line. It is an enjoyable addition that will help you feel cozy this fall. Overall, I am very pleased with the scent and the products available.
