Neighborhood: College
Berkeley, CA 94704
United States of America
Located conveniently on the corner at 2355 Telegraph Ave Berkeley, California, not far from the university, Smart Aleck's would be hard pressed to find a better location. They are prominent, located on popular Telegraph street and easily accessible. This makes them a great and convenient place to stop by at.

Ambiance
It's a friendly and open place to walk into, which is easy to tell from the giant windows that make up the two street facing walls of the building. The menu is large and prominent, the environment is clean and busy. It gives off that excellent, well polished feel. It's not an intimate place nor a particularly private one but it openly displays what it is - a great place to stop by for lunch between classes, when visiting, or on your break.

It is also very prominent about it's pro-vegetarian status, as it is one of the things that has made Smart Aleck's Intelligent Food famous in Berkeley.

Staff
The only complaint I could voice in regards to the staff is that they aren't as intimate or talkative with their customers as they could be. This isn't particularly fair to the staff as they are remarkably busy and remarkably crowded quite frequently. The staff was at all times efficient, competent and professional. In summary- they are excellent at what they do.

Food
There's a reason that Smart Aleck's is well known in Berkeley. It's food is excellent, both the burgers and the salads and the soups. For both those inclined to eat meat, and those who would like to abstain from the practice. Smart Aleck's Intelligent Foods hosts wonderful meals at reasonable prices. They aren't especially low, but they are reasonable.

It's worth noting that they don't skimp on their portions, and for the portions the prices are very reasonable indeed.

Overall Suggestion
It's not the best place for a romantic date, or for an intimate meeting or get together. It is however an excellent place to grab some lunch with friends, or alone. The service is quick and professional even when they are filled to overflowing.
