Review of SmartPak Equine

SmartPak Equine is a company that sells horse supplements and gear. The unique thing about this company is that they offer the supplements in packets of daily doses. This is perfect for people who board their horses or travel with them.

I first used SmartPak Equine because they carry the weight gain supplement that was recommended to me for my horse.

Their customer service is excellent. All their customer service people you talk to on the phone are required to have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum GPA, and real life horse experience. On top of being knowledgeable, they are pleasant to deal with.

They have flat rate shipping - just $6.95. Your order can be auto-shipped, with the amount withdrawn from your checking account or charged to your credit card.

Some people who board their horses measure out their supplements into daily amounts and put them in baggies. With SmartPak's pre-measured packets, this isn't necessary. I take the packets to the barn where I board my horse and they just add the packets to his food. When we hit the trails this summer, I'll just bring the needed amount of packets with me.

You can also order the product in their full size containers. The cost of having product in the pre-measured packets is close in price to what you pay for ordering it in bulk. They even have charts in their catalog which show the cost of the supplement per day.

Their catalog is laid out nicely, with all supplements of a similar type placed together, along with information about what that type of supplement does (e.g. hoof supplements).

They have a great selection of other needed products - clothing, tack, barn supplies, and many other horse item. With the flat shipping rate of just $6.95, it is easy to put these items on your order with your supplements and not have to pay more in shipping. Looking through my catalog, I see many items that I would have ordered from a competitor but will order from SmartPak due to their low shipping.

They even have a vet on staff to answer your questions. It's nice they care about taking care of the customer, not just moving product.

Dog and cat supplies are also available, and they offer the measured packets for dog food and supplements.

Their packaging is made from recycled plastic, and the company reuses boxes so they cut down on waste.

Orders can be placed by phone, online, or faxed to their pharmacy. They offer free consultations, and even have a retail store in Natick, MA.

Ordering from a great company like Smartpak Equine makes having to buy supplements a little easier to swallow.
