Review of the SMK-Link VP6151 Rechargeable Bluetooth Notebook Mouse

The SMK-Link VP6151 Rechargeable Bluetooth Notebook Mouse is one of the better electronics that I have bought in recent times. When I was purchasing this mouse I was looking for a mouse with two conditions: 1- the mouse that I bought had to be rechargeable. With mice that use AA or AAA batteries, you can never really tell how long the battery will last. And as the batteries die, it is very difficult to tell whether the detector will be able to pick up the weaker signal. A rechargeable mouse is much better.

2- The mouse that I bought had to be Bluetooth. Many laptops even these days have very few USB ports. And a standard wireless mouse will have a detector that will perpetually take up one of those ports. This can be very annoying and even damage your computer if the detector gets caught on your laptop bag. A Bluetooth mouse solves all of these problems, as long as your computer has a Bluetooth antenna. Most do these days.

Overall, the mouse is excellent. It tracks well, holds a charge for a very long time, and can transmit from across the room. I only have two complaints about the mouse itself. The first is that the mouse will not transmit when charging, even though the packaging promised that it would be able to. Also, the battery case is a little weak and sometimes will open, turning off the mouse. However, despite these problems, I still use the mouse every day. The device itself gets probably 4/5 stars, in my opinion.

The company is excellent. The first of these mice that I purchased did not charge. I called the company and had to leave a message, and within a day I got a response from a very polite, apologetic, and helpful person (apologetic because he had to call me back). He immediately put in for a return and I got back a working mouse within two weeks. In fact, not a single thing was automated. I'm certain that this is a family owned company, or at least a small business. I will definitely buy my next mouse from SMK-Link.
