Review of Some of Austin, Texas' Best Restaurants

Kathi Downs
After being fortunate enough to live in the Austin, Texas area for many years, my husband and I began to consider ourselves to be amateur connoisseurs of Austin area's wonderful, and varied cuisine.

I have listed here a few of the restaurants that I consider to be some of Austin's best restaurants.

1. Hudson's on the Bend

Austin, TX

Though Hudson's on the Bend is among some of Austin's more expensive restaurants; with its romantic setting, and outdoor dining it's the perfect place to go when spending an evening out with your special someone. Hudson's offers heart-healthy meals, prime beef, fresh fish, but is probably most famous for it preparation of wild game.

www.louisianalonghorncafe.com

This is the place where good Cajun cuisine meets Texan BBQ, and what a great mix it is.

Crawfish is offered in just about anyway you can think to eat it; along with shrimp, oysters and other fish. Don't forget all the wonderful sauces that Louisiana cooking is known for. A must try is their alligator; it is absolutely delicious. Though this restaurant isn't in Austin, it is only 19 miles north on I35. Not far at all for this wonderful eating experience.
