Review: Sprint Customer Service

WRITER
How do you choose the best cell phone provider? Many company offers discount prices on cell phones when you sign a 2 year agreement. If you fall into a service with poor customer service and mediocre service you are stuck for two years. I have been a Sprint customer for the last 5 years and now I have to let this service go.

I have somehow over paid on my sprint bill of $200.00. When I realized the double deduction from my bank account I called the customer service. The representative informs me that it will be credited to my next bill. I didn't want it credit to the next bill so I fought my case. After talking to the supervisor on duty they agree that they can mail me a check since they could not do a direct deposit which will arrive in about 2 weeks. The check never came through and the credit on my account was taken away. It has taken me 2 months of calling everyday until finally they have credit my account back.

When I purchase the phone Mogel for $499.00 it was a complete disaster. I paid full price since I didn't want to renew my contract. The Mogel phone was an incredible disappointment. Whenever someone would call the phone never came through. I return the phone they gave me $100.00 cash refund and informed me that the rest of the refund will be in the mail in two weeks. As the two weeks past I went to the store to talk to the manager she informs me that she can't help and gave me the customer service number. Customer service informs me that they can help me either. After about 4 months after emailing the corporate office I have receive a deposit in my bank account. Remember they have told me in previous cases that they could not do direct deposit.

I have never been late on my bill for 5 years and paid on time every month. I carry three phone lines and have a spending limit of $400.00 on my sprint account. Now when it gets close to the end of the billing period they will cut my line off if it went over the spending limit. I have spoken to the supervisor about this situation and how can they cut my service off if I was never given the opportunity to pay for the services. There was no help. So my only solution was to cut off a phone line from my plan.

Time after time and months I will be on hold for the next available representative. However every time you called it was someone new with some other information and the story never added up. Sprint has also been reported on MSN Money for worst customer service. Yet they have replaced the CEO and hired a new CEO still it seems that progress is to slow. It has also been reported that Sprint have let go some of their customers do to frequent call made to the customer service. Sprint stated that it will cost the company more money to keep them on Sprint. Have they put into consideration if the service was good like you agreed on the contract maybe they wouldn't be calling.

I've had terrible experiences with Sprint. I'm thinking of switching to T-Mobile.

Unfortunately Sprint is about the only cell phone that works in our area. Last week my husband was about to tear his hair out just trying to pay the bill....he was on the phone and online for 2 1/2 hours! (They kept sending him through these bizarre hoops) I finally called them, and when I got ahold of someone she asked at the conclusion "Would you like to buy a new phone today?" I told her..."you DON'T want to go there, my husband is already wants to throw his current Sprint phone out the window."

Argh! I used to work as a dealer for Sprint. I hated selling their service because I knew the customer would be back. Great article.

I have Sprint too and I am counting the days till my contract is up! I will not ever renew with them again! Another thing I don't get is this whole contract agreement shit! After the first two years expired how the hell can they just sign me up for another two years? WTH!

Sprint is the worst; my son had them. Glad to see you are exposing their tactics.

We have been with Sprint for several years. While we get great cell phone reception, the customer service is one of the worst we have ever dealt with.

Great article and I agree. I've been with Sprint for the last 6 years. This year has been the worse year ever dealing with customer service. I've being charged erroneously, charged for services they think I need and getting different answers from different customer service representatives about the same problem. I can't wait until my contract is over. Bye, Bye Sprint.

Timely article for me. I've been a Sprint customer for years and years and never had a problem. Until this week. I decided to finally look at my online account. When you register for it, they text a pin number to you. Without this pin number you can't get registered. Sprint text messaged my pin number to someone else's phone. When I emailed them to get this straightened out I was told that my number wasn't the account holder. So my reply "It's my name on the account, my address it is mailed to, my money that pays the bill - so my number should be the account holder." Ignored. I sent another email and put in the subject line "3 time to try to get help." After the 4th email, they are trying to help. At least I think so.

Maybe I should start making more calls to customer service. So they can let me go. I tried to let Sprint go, however, they want to charge me $200.00 for each phone I have on the plan because my two years contract is not up. I always get a different rep when I call and most of the times it's from a different State. That's what they claim. I asked for an address to send in a written complaint. Three different Reps. told me that they had no such place and I have to deal with whoever I got when I called. Excellent write.

I hate the companies with some years of agreement. The Spanish legal system has favor with the enterprises in detriment of the user.
