If you're looking for great beer and even better food in Salt Lake City, there's only one place to go. Squatters Pub Brewery located at 147 W. Broadway in historic downtown is both a brewery, producing award winning Squatters beer and excellent food fit for all tastes and preferences. The atmosphere is hip and fun with a little bit of historic flair, as it is located in an old brick building in the heart of the city. With a unique feel, great staff, and fantastic food and beer, Squatters is an excellent place to go and experience the Salt Lake City nightlife, or just relax on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. Squatters is known for its excellent beers, also sold in most major grocery stores. With celebrated traditional fare like Captain Bastard's Oatmeal Stout and St. Provo Girl Pilsner, they are sure to please. Squatters is also home to some less traditional favorites. The brew-master comes up with new, seasonal favorites to tempt any beer drinker like the famed Cherry Luv, a cherry flavored Flanders Red Ale, only brewed during the month of February. Even if you're not into alcohol at all, nothing beats the Squatters food. The menu is varied and, like the beer, award winning. There is everything from excellent burgers and chicken sandwiches to an tasty curry dish. They make a variety of vegetarian dishes in order to serve the needs of all of their customers. Their pizzas are to die for, especially the Mediterranean, a white pizza with an Asiago cheese sauce, chicken, artichoke hearts, and fresh tomatoes on a homemade crust. All of the dishes are made from organically grown produce and grain fed, hormone free meat, so you can be assured they are doing their best to make sure you have the highest quality food possible. At Squatters they also use their beer in the cooking, like barbecue sauce made from Captain Bastard's Oatmeal Stout. Their beer inspired sauces and dressings add a great touch to any meal giving you a taste of what they do best, whether you're a beer fan or not.

The atmosphere at Squatters Pub Brewery is young and hip with a little bit of historic Salt Lake City. The restaurant is located in an old brick building downtown, so you can enjoy the great, timeless architecture. They recently added a second floor so you can enjoy your meal upstairs overlooking the city at night. I have never had a bad server or a bad meal at Squatters. At times, however, the restaurant can become busy, so patience is a virtue, as servers are sometimes running from table to table.
