The continued expansion of retail establishments throughout Randall road in the tri cities area has been ongoing regardless of the staggering economy. One very busy retail area in the Kane County Randall corridor includes the very busy Geneva commons mall. This mall sits across the street from Bricher road and another busy retail block that includes such popular stores as Lowes, AT&T, and now a relocated Burger King. The former location of this burger franchise was located in the old St. Charles Mall lot off Lincoln Highway which has become a retail graveyard. I have frequented this location about four times since it was relocated and felt a review was overdue.

The new Burger King location in St. Charles is tastefully done as the exterior walls are built up with creative stone work and the outdoor display sign flashes different specials and promotions for passerbyers on Randall to observe. Access to this location can only be served by turning on to Bricher then hanging another right to a frontage road leading up to the restaurant. The parking lot is very tight and parking spaces are not as plentiful as the previous location. If one plans on going inside as opposed to drive thru during peak meal times, plan on potentially walking a bit to the entrance as you may possibly have to park in adjacent lot.

The inside of this restaurant is immaculate with fun artwork hanging throughout the dining area. The artwork is indicative of the history of St. Charles; a very nice touch by the restaurant group paying tribute to home city. Some nice added amenities include the flat screen televisions posted throughout the store and the availability of wi-fi. The tables are numerous throughout the restaurant though I did not appear to see any outdoor seating or a play land area for small children.

The counter is immediately to the left with a chain stanchion rope to create a "line" to the register should this Burger King get hit with numerous customers at one time. The ordering process is very quick with a very friendly counter staff. As I have ordered at this location on four different occasions, the staff has processed my order correctly every visit. I am a big fan of the value menu considering I have two small children that are prime candidates of these small portion sandwiches at the low price of one dollar. The other nice addition to this new location is the self serve beverage counter beyond the counter. The beverage counter has all the typical name brand coca-cola soft drinks, but also includes a Golden Peak iced tea dispenser which there is a choice of four different teas offered. I would recommend this Burger King stop if running errands or looking for a quick bite while cruising down Randall during meal time.
