You can place the cycle under your desk and pedal away all day without anyone ever knowing. This will keep your blood flowing to keep your energy up and make you more productive throughout the day. The InStride Cycle has no seat. It is a small device that sits on the floor and has two pedals attached. You sit in your own chair and place your feet on the pedals to use it.
This feature is also good for older people who may feel more comfortable sitting in their recliner and using it rather than climbing onto an exercise bike. The cycle can also be used with your hands to get a workout in your arms by setting it on a table (although this might be a little more noticeable at work!). Bicycling is a good activity for everyone because it is so low-impact.
The product is also much less expensive than a traditional exercise bike. It can be purchase from amazon.com for $42. Since it is so small, you can store it in a closet or under your bed so there is no unsightly piece of exercise equipment sitting in your house. The InStride lets you pedal forwards and backwards to work all of your muscles. There is a simple knob to turn if you want to change the resistance. A small monitor tracks how long you have been exercising.
The product did need to be assembled but it was simple and only took me about 15 minutes. The InStride is obviously not going to give you vigorous exercise or replace your daily workout, but I have found that it is a good addition to my regular exercise regimen. Being able to pedal under my desk for hours a day has definitely led to a noticeable difference in my legs. I set it at a very low resistance so I can pedal for a long time. I find I have more energy during the day and do not need to drink so much coffee. Overall, the InStride is a solid piece of exercise equipment that allows me to make better use of my time throughout the day to achieve my fitness goals.
