Review of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

RH
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is easily the best movie in what is the most incredible series of movies ever. This movie begins approximately ten years after the end of Episode I and follows the crisis in the Galactic Republic after Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master, has arranged a Separatist movement against the Republic. There appears to be danger that Senator Padmè may be in danger, and Anakin Skywalker is assigned to protect her. As the two get closer, the Jedi discover that someone has secretly been creating an army of the Republic, at the same time as the Separatists are creating an enormous army of droids. Therefore, the Jedi decide to allow the creation of this clone army, which was requested by Count Dooku.

This is an excellent movie that was the best in the series because it shows exactly what everybody likes so much about the Star Wars films: it is packed full of action, including the best action sequence ever. This is the fight between the Jedi and the entirety of the Separatist clone army. The special effects are excellent as well, as are the costumes. It is so easy to immerse yourself in the Star Wars universe. The only place where this movie lacks is where it tries to rise above its roots in action with little plot. This is the growth of the relationship between Padmè and Anakin. Unfortunately, these sequences are too long and too frequent, and the dialogue within is trite, and even a little derived. I have to say that Star Wars is much better when it sticks to its roots. And still, this is the best movie that I have ever seen.
