Review: Star Wars Lighted Poker Chip Set from Cartamundi
Good Display Gift for Your Star Wars Loving Poker Friend
The Star Wars Lighted Poker Chip Set manufactured by Cartamundi is only illuminated when it is in the carrying case. This is a 200 chip poker set that when sitting in the carrying case is illuminated by the LED lights enclosed in the carrying case. These LED lights are powered by four AA batteries.
To resemble the light sabers in the movies, the chips come in three different colors. There are 50 red chips with artwork displaying Darth Vader on each chip. On the 50 green chips, Yoda artwork is the picture on each chip. There are two different images on the blue chips, these include 50 each of Luke and Obi-wan Kenobi. Therefore in the case the blue light saber appears to be the largest.
Honestly this set of poker chips is a novelty and nothing more. With just 200 chips in the case you really need three sets to play a game of poker with more than four players. Also keep in mind that the poker chips in the Star Wars Lighted Poker Chip Set manufactured by Cartamundi do not glow once they are removed from the case. The artwork on each chip is courtesy of Russell Waks. The set also includes two decks of cards, which are of average quality.
If your friend is a huge Star Wars fan and enjoys playing poker this might become a nice display piece for when they host poker games. Honestly, it is more likely the chips will remain in the case on display and they will use chips from a set they get more chips from for a cheaper price. At $100 for a 200 chip poker set this is a relatively expensive poker set. As a display piece though it might be right around the right price to purchase the Star Wars Lighted Poker Chip Set manufactured by Cartamundi for the Star Wars loving poker player that you know.

- The set costs $100 and only includes 200 poker chips.
- The poker chips only "glow" when they are in the case illuminated by LED lights.
- This serves better as a display set than one to actual play with.
