Stick It provides several pre-made note categories for use in their application. They are called stickies, paper, comic, text, signs and calendar.
The stickies category provides what appears to be post it notes. You can use the colors gold, blue, yellow, orange, pink, purple, a yellow star or a pink heart.
The paper category provides paper that looks archival paper, rectangular ripped paper with tape, square ripped paper with tape, a small (not ripped) square with tape, a rectangular paper (not ripped) with tape, a piece of taped paper with spiral bound at the top, and a plain wrinkled white paper.
The comic category provides 8 different types of thought bubbles.
Text category allows you to insert text with a clear background anywhere on the image.
Signs category provides a billboard, a metal sign, a picture frame, a red stop sign, and a yellow yield sign.
You also have the option to change the background of the photo. You get templates that look like notebook paper, granite, diamond board, wood, brick, decorative hearts, a curtain, and other decorative designs. You can also just change the color of the background screen or you can insert a photo from your camera roll. You can also alter the appearance of the font. You can change the font type, size, color and alignment.
Once the picture is made, you click export and it will save it to your camera roll. From there you open your photos application and select the photo. Click the left corner icon and select a use as wallpaper. This will put it on the screen that pops up when your iPod wakes up from standby mode.
What do you need to remember? Do you have a list of people who need to be called? How about a reminder to write some articles? Post your debt snowball plan. Another option would be to just put up motivating quotes to get you through your day. The uses for the Stick It application are endless.
There are a few ways that Stick It could be improved. One idea would be to make the templates editable so you can change their size. It's important to note that Stick It is not a free application. It is worth the small fee though. For more information on how to use Stick It, please read the article How to use Stick It for the iPod Touch.
