Sue's Coffee House
Neighborhood: Riverviwe Plaza
St. Clair, MI 48079
United States of America
Sue's Coffee House is located in the Riverview Plaza, downtown, in the heart of St. Clair, Michigan. It is on the front side of the mall, which faces the beautiful St. Clair River. Sue's Coffee House opened up a few years ago in the mall. They offer hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries. Each drink is hand made to order.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere at Sue's Coffee Shop is relaxing and tranquil, besides the noise the mixing machines make while making your drinks. There are several chairs with table to sit at. In the front of the store, there are large window for you to look out of as you relax in one of the comfortable chairs with attached footrests. There are a couple of computers in there with free internet access. Free WiFi is also available for those who bring their own laptops. Also, a small library of books is available for you to read. Sometimes Sue's Coffee House will have live entertainment rather it be a one man band, poetry reading, Bible study or open mic night.

Menu Options

The menu at Sue's Coffee House is a pretty good selection and the prices are comparable as well. They offer iced coffees, teas, and sodas. Also, blended drinks such as smoothies, chai tea and mochaccinos are available. Hot drinks that they offer are teas, hot cocoa, and of course a variety of coffees. If you are looking for a small something to eat, you could choose from bagels, donuts, pastries, or cookies and muffins. The prices are less than a Starbucks would be.

Taste

Of all the drinks and treats I have had at Sue's Coffee House, everything has been delicious. The hot drinks are always as hot as can be and made with top quality ingredients.

Hours

Sue's Coffee House is open Monday - Wednesday 6am - 8pm, Thursday 6am - 9pm, Friday 6am - 11pm, Saturday 7am - 11pm, and Sunday 8am - 5pm.

In addition to the coffee house, there is a wine bar and microbrewery located in the back section of the store. The microbrewery serves wheat, ale, and stout beers. There is also a cigar room where you can both buy and smoke cigars. It is in an enclosed area so that the smoke does not affect the rest of the establishment's patron.

Overall, Sue's Coffee House is a great place for every one of all ages to come out and enjoy. It is independently owned and operated so you get treated extra special unlike many of the other "chain" coffee shops that are around.

The food is a bit pricey and I have seen the kids scratching their heads while preparing stuff-

I want a simple cheap cup of regular old coffee to visit with the friends that are getting mochalattecrappafrappachinos lol and my simple plain coffee was not piping hot.

I do love the owner-she was very nice every time I am there with friends. I try to frequent local places rather than chains.

I don't think that was a review but a sales pitch haha
