In this review we will take a gander at the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster to determine its usefulness when it comes to making your heating and cooling system more efficient and effective. How the device works is by boosting the air coming out of the register vent by a simple fan blower integrated into the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster.
What makes the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster even appealing is the air sensing technology used to turn the register auxiliary vent blower on and off automatically. The manufacturer claims that the use of the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster can increase the airflow by up to 85%.
The only complaint I have with the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster is that it requires the use of an A/C adapter. I think the product could have been further enhanced with utilizing an optional battery powered option in conjunction with the A/C adapter as to take into account that electrical outlets may not be in close proximity with where a particular HVAC vent is located.
Despite the lack of battery powered operation, I think the Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster maybe worth a shot. It carries a one year manufacturer's warranty and has a flush mount, sleek look. You can hardly tell it is any different from your other 4X10 register plates.
It comes in two colors: pearl white or brown. They also feature a three speed adjustable blower setting on the unit itself, giving you better control over the air flow. If you have larger style registers, no problem! The Suncourt HC500-W Flush Fit Register Booster comes with adapter plates to help you mount the unit correctly on your wall or floor.

Post a CommentI am trying the HC-500W register booster out in a 3rd floor master beedroom with 3 west facing windows. It gets up to 5-7 degrees warmer in this room than the 2nd level where the thermostat is. (83-85 vs. 78)
The booster cools the room within a couple of degrees of the 2nd level, but it runs almost continuously and the thermostatic feature doesn't seem to work well. I have to unplug it at night because of the noise but by then the room is cool enough to sleep in now.
