Cost. This raised toilet seat averages a mere $20. The price is on the low side for all the similar products on the market. And, considering the amount of use it is going to get, the price is very pleasing to my pocketbook. I like that.
Convenience. The Sunmark Raised Toilet Seat easily fits onto most standard toilet seats. There is no removal of "the real" seat to make room for this one. You simply lift the seat and place it into use. Nice.
Lightweight. This raised toilet seat only weighs about two pounds. That is easy to carry. This came in real handy when taking it from the pharmacy to the car.
Carrying case. The box containing the Sunmark toilet seat has a plastic carrying handle. This, combined with the weight of two pounds, makes it great for traveling purposes.
Purchasing. You can buy this bathroom aid at most pharmacies and department stores. I have even seen it located at thrift stores and senior centers.
Lifting power. Another benefit of the Sunmark Raised Toilet Seat is the fact that it raises the standard toilet seat by about five inches. This helps with the difficulty of sitting down or standing up from the toilet. When one cannot bend, or use, their legs or hips fully, this is a very welcomed benefit.
Security. There are strips of ridged rubber, on the underside of this raised toilet seat. This helps adhere to the standard toilet seat to decrease slippage. The rubber strips help prevent the raised seat from tilting from side to side, also.
Material. Plain and simple, this raised toilet seat is made of plastic. Nice, white plastic. It does not have any cushioned seating, as the more expensive models may have. The simplicity of this model is what drew me to it in the first place.
Durability. The material is strong plastic, which makes it last for ages. One never knows what the future holds.
Easy to clean. The plastic material also makes for easy cleaning. Simple soapy, warm water will wash it sufficiently. This is another strong selling point, in my opinion.
I cannot think of any drawbacks to the Sunmark Raised Toilet Seat. For anyone needing a device like this, I highly recommend this brand and model.
