You Will Enjoy Your Stay, Friendly, Accommodating, and Family Orientated

The Super 8 Motel in Wausau, Wisconsin is rated as one of the top motels in the country. It is a nice quiet, very well kept, and the staff is the friendliest staff I have had the pleasure of working with. I stayed at the Super 8 Motel in Wausau, many times over the past 3 years. They are very hospitable, and are willing to help you in anyway needed. I had a group staying, and needed several rooms (some in smoking and some in non smoking rooms). They were willing to accommodate me and also gave me a standing group rate of $59.00 plus tax as we there in January and July each year with groups of 5 or more rooms. They are also very family orientated.

If you have never been to Wausau, Wisconsin, The Super 8 Motel can be a little hard to find. We take Hwy 29 North from Green Bay, take the third exit, the Super 8 Motel is on West Spencer Avenue which is set off of the street right behind McDonald's and next to Crispy Cream Donut.

The lobby is very nicely decorated, clean and well kept up (No Smoking in the lobby or lounge area), with the breakfast/lounge area right across from the registration desk (continental breakfast is offered from 6 to 10 a.m., with donuts, danish, bagels, fruit, juices, coffee, milk etc.). This area has very good lighting, with windows on 2 sides of the room. From the windows you can view the swimming pool and hot tub areas, or look outside. There is a computer in the lounge for the guests to use. There also is a stand with pamphlets of points of interest in Wausau, restaurants, museums, theater, malls. Many local business are located very close to the motel.

They do not have an elevator. But, you can request the 1st floor.

Our room was very neat, clean and beautifully decorated. We had 1 king size bed and a Sofa bed. There is a wall light next to the bed, and a floor lamp by the couch. I liked that the vanity was outside of the bathroom with a coffee maker, coffee, sugars and cream. The bathroom does have a bathtub and shower. There are towels and wash clothes in the bathroom and by the vanity, with small samples of shampoo, conditioner and soap laid out for you. A safe is also provided for you to put your valuables in for $1.00 a day. Our room had small refrigerator, large dresser with a large mirror and lights, desk with a lamp, television with cable and Internet access, and a round table and chairs. The bedding, mattresses and pillows were very clean and comfortable.

The swimming pool and hot tub area is open 24 hours a day.

I especially like the fact that Super 8 Motel honors the Trip Rewards Program, where you can earn points by staying in the selected Motels on the back of the card, or by taking an airplane or train. Once your points get to 10,000 you can have a free night stay at Super 8 Motel.

If you are going to be in the Wausau Area give the Super 8 Motel a call and reserve a room at motel, you will enjoy your stay.

The pool is off on one end of the hotel fairly far from rooms. They do not allow the people in the pool to get noisy, if they should get out of hand, they are either kicked out or they shut the pool down. I like to take usually a room at the left side of the hotel, plus it is closer to the door to bring your luggage to your room. And don't for get to pick up a trip rewards application, you can apply over the phone while you are at the hotel and get credit for that nights stay.

The swimming pool sounds good. I'm not too sure on the breakfast though. Bagels and donuts are not my idea of a proper breakfast!
