Review of Sweet Baby Rays Shredded Pork with Sauce

Microwavable and Affordable

Bridgitte Williams

I am a big fan of barbecued pork, so when I came across a container of Sweet Baby Rays Shredded Pork with Sauce in the refrigerated meats section of my local favorite grocery store, I was delighted! This dish looked so good. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought one eighteen ounce container of Sweet Baby Rays Shredded Pork with Sauce for around five dollars. Each container has around four servings in it. That is a decent deal, in my opinion. I happen to be a fan of Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauces, so this product just had to be good. This pork is fully cooked, microwave friendly and protein packed. That all sounded great to me. I could not wait to taste this pork!

Though this shredded pork is in a resealable container, it is also in a sealed pouch within. I cut open the pouch, poured the pork into a microwave safe dish, covered, heated on high for a few minutes, until hot, stirred and served. I served this pork on buns with mayo and pickles. This dish smelled great and looked yummy! When I tasted this shredded pork, I loved it! It is tender and juicy. The sauce is what really gives this pork it's trademark taste. Sweet, sassy and just darn good. Original barbecue sauce flavor and high quality pork meet and marry on a bun, in this product. If you do not have the time to make homemade barbecue pork, this one will do very nicely. I rate Sweet Baby Rays Shredded Pork with Sauce four stars out of five stars. I will be buying this one again. My relatives and friends loved this one and I do, too.

One serving has 290 calories in it. 80 of those calories come from fat. One serving has 9 grams of total fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, not bad, 0 grams of trans fat, 70 mg's of cholesterol, 590 mg's of sodium, 32 grams of total carbs, 30 grams of sugars and 19 grams of protein. The seasoning in this pork is fantastic. Garlic, pineapple juice, molasses, tomato paste, vinegar, spices and more. Awesome. This dish is energizing and so easy to prepare.

I loved trying Sweet Baby Rays Shredded Pork with Sauce and writing this product review all about it. It saves me time spent in the kitchen and I discovered that this is a crowd pleaser. Sweet baby Ray is actually a real man from Chicago who played basketball and his brother is a chef. Chef Larry Raymond perfected the family's barbecue sauce recipe and the rest is history. Mike O'Brien, Chef Larry and sweet baby Ray all formed a company that produces such tasty food products. "The sauce is the boss." is this company's motto and I agree. This one is a true winner!
