Review of Swiss Miss Indulgent Collection's Dark Chocolate Sensation Hot Cocoa Mix

Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation hot chocolate mix is part of the Indulgent Collection. The packaging looked very promising so I bought it instead of the usual Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate. Since Swiss Miss brand is a well known and liked brand I felt that anything put out by them would be delicious. Besides, the package stated it was made with premium cocoa and fresh milk.

I was very pleased when I made my first package of Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation hot chocolate. The chocolate flavor was about double that of a regular pack of Swiss Miss hot chocolate. Usually when I make a cup of hot chocolate, I don't add all the water called for, or I will dump a second pack of hot chocolate into a full cup of hot water.

The taste of the Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation hot chocolate was divine. Not only was the chocolate taste stronger, the hot chocolate had a very smooth and creamy taste. According to the back of the package, Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation is made at a real dairy and the fresh milk is delivered daily, dried and blended with premium imported cocoa. The way it tastes I am apt to believe it.

I was pleased to know that one cup of Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation had as much antioxidant capacity as two cups of green tea. Everyone knows that antioxidant rich food and beverages is essential for a healthy body, but I doubt very many people know that Swiss Miss can provide it.

I was also surprised to read on the package back that Swiss Miss Dark Chocolate Sensation has fifty percent more cocoa than the Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate hot cocoa. The chocolate taste is so much stronger that I believed it to be at least double. It must be the taste difference between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.

I think the individual packages of hot chocolate is a great way to get your kids drinking healthier. A child will consume more pop and other sugary beverages when they are away from home than any mother would want. What better way to persuade them not to drink those beverages than giving them an option? Just send a few packs with them to slumber parties and friend's homes and they will occasionally choose the hot chocolate.

Swiss Miss also offers two more flavors in their Indulgent Collection- Mocha Cappuccino and French Vanilla. The Mocha Cappuccino is a blend of imported coffee and cocoa. The French Vanilla hot chocolate is cocoa blended with vanilla. I haven't tried those flavors yet but I probably will.

I bought my Swiss Miss Indulgent Collection Dark Chocolate Sensation hot chocolate at Wal-mart for only one dollar. One box contains eight 1.25 ounces individual packages.
