Review: Synergy Labs Veterinary Formula Solutions Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner for Dogs
Choosing the Right Dog Conditioner for Your Pet
Product Details
Synergy Labs Veterinary Formula Solutions Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner contains shea butter, silk proteins, jojoba, and pomegranate. According to the label on the back of the product, jojoba is "an excellent moisturizer similar to natural sebum", and silk protein "soothes & penetrates coat to add strength & shine." There was also some fine red print that said it "will not wash away topical flea and tick treatments." Additionally, the product was made in the USA.
When I first read the label in the aisle of the pet store, I was taken aback - Who washes their hair with oatmeal? Apparently it's common with pets because oatmeal oils are a great natural way to hydrate skin. That the dog conditioner was made with natural ingredients such as jojoba makes me feel great knowing that my pet will be safe.
Use
Using Synergy Labs Veterinary Formula Solutions Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner is easier than saying it's name. Once shampooing has been completed you should massage pet your pet with the conditioner, then let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing off.
My pug puppy loves water, however if your dog does not I recommend using a hard treat or chew toy to keep him or her occupied while you give your dog a bath. After shampooing my puppy with Bobbi Panter Natural Puppy Shampoo, I applied a generous amount of the Synergy Labs Veterinary Formula Solutions Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner onto my dog. I then rinsed her off, and used the conditioner on her a second time for good measure.
Results
After my little pug puppy was dried off, her black coat had a very healthy sheen. I noticed that she stopped scratching herself (at least not more than usual), and her dandruff problem was no more. For the $7 I paid for a 17 once bottle, I was impressed with the results and happy with my purchase. That the Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner didn't wash away her flea and tick medication made me happy because I didn't have to buy flea and tick medicine for her.
Opinion
I was so impressed with the results that I found myself wondering why we don't use Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner ourselves. I would recommend Synergy Labs Veterinary Formula Solutions Ultra Oatmeal Moisturizing Conditioner to other pet owners for their dogs.
