The Menu:

Thai Village restaurant offers a variety of traditional Thai and Chinese dishes, including appetizers, BBQ, soups, salads, rice, curries, noodles and seafood. Vegetarians are going to love this restaurant, as there are many available choices for vegetarians. Any of this restaurant's offerings can be prepared vegan style upon request. Additionally, any of the spicy dishes can be prepared to your liking- just let them know whether you'd prefer mild, medium or spicy.

This restaurant offers lunch specials and dinner specials. At the time of this posting, the lunch special was priced at $6.95 and the dinner special at $9.95.

Our Lunch:

The lunch special looked tempting, but we decided to order from the regular menu. For starters, my husband and I split a hot pot of Tom Ka Kai soup. This is a flavorful coconut soup with chicken, mushrooms, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and herbs. My husband and I love trying coconut soup variations at every Thai restaurant we go to, and this soup was, in our opinion, better than average. We enjoyed it.

After the soup, we decided to try the Thai Village Salad. This is a grilled chicken salad with Thai peanut dressing and lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, boiled egg, and pineapple. Our waitress brought a generous sized plate of salad that was definitely enough food for two people. The salad was good. Not amazing, but good. If I were to go back to that restaurant again, I don't think I would get the Thai village salad again, but there are several other things I'd like to try.

Beverages:

Beverages include Thai iced tea or coffee, American iced tea, soda, bottled water, Snapple, Lemonade, and a selection of alcoholic beverages including sake, plum wine, beer and wine. We both tried the Thai iced tea. It was delicious!

The Service:

The service was adequate. We were satisfied, but if you are the kind of person who wants the staff to anticipate your every whim, this is probably not the restaurant for you.

The Decor:

This restaurant's appearance is a bit cluttered for my taste. Despite that, I did enjoy the lovely tropical flowers on the tables and the intriguing salt water aquariums. There's also a TV in the dining room.

Conclusion:

I'll gladly return to this restaurant, and I am happy to recommend it to others.
