He was still a little young for it. He wanted us to push him around the house. This didn't work because m son is on the bigger side and his weight made it hard to push him on the carpeting. Another problem with this train ride on is that you can't go backwards with it. It has pieces on the bottom of it that prevent it from going backwards without slightly picking it up off the floor. The biggest problem that kept happening with the ride on is that the black plastic piece on the back of the train keeps coming off. It would come right out of the truck every time we pulled or pushed him. I don't know if it was because he was heavier or of it the ride on just isn't made that great. I think it was a combination of both. I have friends who have this Thomas ride on and absolutely love it. I am still not the biggest fan of this toy.
According to Toysrus.com the features of this ride are as follows: a maximum weight of 45 lbs, includes engine sounds, 3-in-1 design allows toddlers to scoot along, push it around or be pushed along by an adult, 3-level volume setting secondary sound buttons layer music, whistle, or railroad crossing sounds over the top of the engine. The music it plays I do like though. Very realistic sounds for a train. The age ranges from 12 months up to 3 years.
You could purchase this train at Toysrus.com for $39.99. You could also purchase it at Amazon.com for the same price of $39.99. Same price $39.99 at Target.com. I am not sure you will want to spend that much for this Thomas ride on. The design is adorable but that's about it. I highly recommend the Little Tykes Ride on. There are so many more options and it is made of better quality. You could find the Little Tykes Ride for $34.99 at their website Littletykes.com. For me that would be the better choice for your little one.

Post a CommentThat's disappointing. We have a LeapFrog train ride-on that my son likes a lot, but I saw this Thomas one and thought that would have been good for him. I guess not. Most Thomas toys I've seen have been well made, too bad this one is not up to par.
